Cultivating Shalom – The Word

In this first seminar of our 2023 focus, we will start our conversation together on how to cultivate Shalom in our various spheres of life.  Shalom is wholeness: life as it was always meant to be, life in the garden of Eden, life in heaven.  And “cultivate” is a gardening verb, giving us a picture of us “planting and nurturing” that Shalom in our corners of the world.  In this particular seminar, we are beginning with simply naming the “seeds” that we are to plant: the words of God.  We will talk about what exactly God’s word is, how it came to us, to what degree we can trust it, and how it connects to this idea of Shalom.
